We do things differently here. We’re not a “drop in” kinda gym. We want to follow your progress, and we expect certain things from you – and you in return…like progress. Many of our expectations help ensure you make progress. We see you 3 hours, out of 116 waking hours in a week. No, we don’t and can’t control what you do outside the gym the other 109 non-training, non-sleeping hours, but we can ensure that when you’re with us, our little ol’ one hour of training is maximized.
The information below may help you navigate our “intense” environment 🙂

ABOUT “THE FLAMETHROWER”
This is new as of 2026. We care. Ed cares. Sam cares. Trish cares… ALL of our coaches care. When someone genuinely cares about you and you are not taking the one thing that you have both influence and control over – your health – seriously, it’s really easy for us to lose our shit. Imagine a parent watching their child become an addict or failing out of school due to laziness. Or an adult child watching their parent wither away and become frail as a choice. Or a teacher watching a student with so much talent not apply it. There’s not only the personal connection, but the obligation – you’re paying us to make you fitter, stronger and better. So when you don’t apply yourself, your attendance is irregular, you’re not partaking in the “learning” that is both beneficial to your brain but also your progress, or worse….you sandbag workouts and your effort doesn’t match our expectations…out comes the flamethrower and you never know how it’s going to hit you: directly, via indifference, or if we’re lucky, we’ll sick of it and just replace you. Yes, that’s our prerogative. It’s also your prerogative to leave if you don’t like the way we do things…but the flamethrower is typically apparent when you aren’t trying and we’re offended because we care. So know this: we care. And we all have choices. We need you to invest as much in your training as we have invested in getting to know you, your potential and the hopes of a fitter, stronger and more robust addition you are becoming at the gym.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Coach Trish recently told us we should make sure everyone knows we have an Open Gym Membership.
Open Gym is $30/month for members and $50 for non-members known to us. Open Gym is unstaffed.
Open Gym is an opportunity during non-class hours for you to use the gym to work on weaknesses, skills…or whatever you want. We do program for Open Gym if you need something to follow. If interested, ask Sam, Ed or Trish.
