Other Services

We offer Private Training from coaches who are also personal trainers, certified by an NCAA certified organization (like NCSA, ACSM, ACE….). We value additional training in anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology. Our trainers are also (obviously) CrossFit trainers so there’s a high level of functional knowledge too.

Private training can fill many gaps in an athletes fitness or help with short-term goals or deficiencies, such as:

  • Skill training for the movements like pull-ups, push-ups, jump rope/double unders – things that are tough to learn at an advanced age
  • Deficiency training in areas that may be lagging behind, like upper body movements with women and mobility with the men
  • CrossFit Open Prep – many athletes engage with a coach for less frequent but longer-term work to keep them moving forward on goals and efforts to perform better in the CrossFit Open

And for long-term private training clients, the purpose might be to guard the fragile athlete who may have osteoporosis or atrial fibrillation.  We are qualified,  experienced, and trained beyond fitness. We are able to navigate many medical issues allowing you to either begin training when you thought it wasn’t possible or to start your training safely while you’re dealing with other health issues.

Private training is $65/hour-long session.

We are a small business and have the ability to tailor the training frequency, style and program to meet the needs of the athlete or client. Just ask us!

Physical Therapy services are performed by Ed Farina, a licensed physical therapist,  Ed has 35+ years of experience in outpatient rehabilitation and creating functional outcomes. Sometimes when rehab is incomplete due to insurance limitations, or simply lack of full recovery (a good result), a fresh set of experienced eyes is the answer. We have seen total knee and hip replacements not reach full potential, spinal stenosis patients ending therapy with ongoing symptoms, and patients with shoulder pain that just doesn’t resolve. Ed can intervene and help guide patients with the right plan, expectations, and outcome.

Ed functions under the Florida Physical Therapy Practice Act, and with Direct Access, he can treat patients for 30 days without a physician referral. Typically, patients, come in with a prior diagnosis. While physical therapists cannot diagnose, they can evaluate for limitations and conduct corrective treatment.

Not necessarily a step down from physical therapy, but a different way to look at it. In our “sport”, we hear more than we care to, that people who NEED this type of training, are either afraid of it, feel they’re too out of shape, or too frail – speaking of the senior citizen population, of course.  Aside from the fact that this makes our heads explode, it makes us sad. Functional Fitness, and the way we have designed our program, specific to seniors, is not only safe and effective but life-saving.  Too often, we hear “I’m too old”, “I’m too far gone”, or “I’m too weak or frail”. THAT’S the reason you WOULD do this. Having an experienced physical therapist who is an expert in CrossFit is the perfect professional to get you started and guide you through training and “treatment” if necessary so that you CAN join this type of program: Legends or GrandMastersRx.

We have been programming and performing CrossFit for seniors (average age mid-70s!) for over 6 years with amazing outcomes it should be on 60 minutes every night! There’s a skill and a finesse to what we do, and it works. Hundreds of great outcomes prove this. We also understand that people can be shy and unsure of themselves. Sometimes the class structure is scary and this one-on-one environment is more appropriate. We get it!

Skilled training takes the fragile, fearful “patient” and makes them stronger, independent, and more confident. The “golden years” are not supposed to be a struggle, they’re supposed to be GOLDEN. Let us help you make them that way!

Functional Movement Systems, or FMS, was created by physical therapist Gray Cook. The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is a tool used to identify asymmetries that result in functional movement deficiencies. The FMS aims to identify imbalances in mobility and stability during seven fundamental movement patterns. These movement patterns are designed to provide observable performance of basic locomotor, manipulative, and stabilizing movements by placing an individual in extreme positions where weaknesses and imbalances become noticeable if appropriate mobility and motor control are not utilized. Once these deficiencies have been identified through the FMS Screen, a program of corrective exercises is then developed with the goal of preventing musculoskeletal injuries.

Both (the screening and the correctives) are offered by Ed Farina, Physical Therapist.

Ed’s rate is $100.00 for the eval and $75.00 per session for treatment sessions.

Nutrition was the foundation upon which we built CrossFit Rebels, our first CrossFit affiliate. RebelHealth was the name of the personal training business we later merged into Rebels. Diet, sleep, fitness, stress management, “variety” in life, job satisfaction…all play a part in our ability to be as healthy as possible. Before “Health Coaching” was a thing, we offered it in an unstructured way as part of someone being a part of our community.

For the past 15 years, Sam Farina, ASCM Personal Trainer and Poliquin Trained in Biosignature has been working with ALL TYPES of people wishing to dial in their diets to either improve their health, body composition, athletic performance, mental state (depression) and sleep. Yes, all of these things are affected by our diets!

  • “I need to be accountable to someone”
  • “I can’t seem to find time to meal prep, train, sleep well…”
  • “I don’t know what to eat”
  • “I don’t know how much to eat”
  • “I don’t know how to get started…”

Check out the RebelHealth Page for more information.

Diet coaching rates are $60.00 per hour or packages of multiple sessions for a discounted rate.
