
The image above is the theme for the new year: KEEP IT SIMPLE. THE BASICS. THE FOUNDATIONS. We can REEEEEEAAAALLLLY complicate things, can’t we? The internet and social media is pounding us with quick fixes when what we really need is less: less screen time, less ingredients, less to do, less worry, less “variety”. I know, that might make some of you think “wait, what?”. Ok, let’s do more then: more walking, more general physical activity, more basic movements and more reps, more whole foods, more people time (which relates to less screen time), more sleep, more reading (from paper)…I can hit this any way you want it! We can’t move to “complicated” or to the next level until we’ve mastered the foundations and the foundations are simple – whether diet or exercise or life. This could be your year if you join us in this philosophical thought!
WORKOUTS FOR THE WEEK
MONDAY
Our four rounder will see
- walking lunges
- box step ups
- a ground to overhead
Then, some plyometrics and speed work to cap off the day.
TUESDAY
The 5:30 class will meet tonight due to the early closing on Wednesday for the holiday.
WEDNESDAY
We are squatting, pressing and “bodybuilding” again…we love Wednesdays!
The gym will close at 1pm today for the NYE Holiday.
THURDSAY
The gym is closed today for the New Year’s Day Holiday.
FRIDAY
We re-open today with regular gym hours.
Welcome to 2026!
We’ll start with a really tough pulling drill that will expose the slight cheats in some of your ring rows – be prepared to be humbled (and end with a great biceps pump😂😂).
Then, in true OG CF fashion (which we truly miss!) we’ll work through a long, hard team workout that mimics the Hero Glenn. You’ll see rowing for the run, clean and jerks, ring rows, and burpees. It’s truly awesome! Great way to start the New Year!
