REMEMBER THIS? (image above)

LAST YEAR, around January we posted this. Every single week for 52 week carved a square off and blacked it out. Why? To illustrate how easily it is for time to slip away if you’re not setting goals and working toward them. And yes, we all should have goals, whether it be learning a new language, working toward a degree, losing body fat, gaining muscle mass, improving cardiovascular capacity, reducing inflammation (to feel better)…yes, we all have things we should be doing. But are we?  Hence the image above, smacking you in the face with a new black square every week that you are exactly the same as you were the prior week with little to no movement toward your goal.

Ed and I will talk about that this coming weekend as we approach the Holiday Party – kicking it off with a little motivation and helpful plan on how to better stay on track – and some of it involved a dose of humility to admit, confront, acknowledge and address what’s been holding you back. We all need help when we have a goal – and sometimes having a village at hand to help motivate you is just the thing you need.

REMINDER: HOLIDAY PARTY THIS SATURDAY. 4-5PM ED/SAM TALK ABOUT GOALS AND SURVIVING THE HOLIDAY. 5-6+PM TRIM THE TREE AND SNACK! 6:30 ISH – CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS MOVIE.

WORKOUTS FOR THE WEEK

MONDAY

Our 4-round Monday will see kettle bell swings, heavier, higher rep BB deadlifts, and knees to elbows & progressions.

Then, we’ll cash out with a little coordination drill with a spicy burpee addition. Solid Monday of work!

WEDNESDAY

Traditional squat and deadlift kinda day, but subbing the overhead priority with a clean and jerk, adding the overhead back in a superset of timed PP/PJ.

FRIDAY

After a fun wall ball passing drill, where hopefully no one gets beamed in the head with a ball😂, we’ll start with a but if a kick in the head, actually! In teams of 2 we’ll tackle a high rep pushup and rowing workout. Lots of work in a short 20′ time period. We’ll cool down, then bench to round out the Friday.

Happy holiday weekend, folks! Hope to see you tomorrow night!
