Thought for the week – As we age, we know the value of companionship. We know that as we retire many of us get pets for both the companionship and the exercise (dogs need walked). But pets can pose a risk. Coach Sam here, and I saw it this past week – clingy cats weaving themselves in between the steps of unstable parents. Large, elderly dogs lying in the walking path requiring my folks to maneuver “over” legs and bodies. So what do we do? Look for obstacles in our day and face them – don’t avoid them. Practice makes perfect….practice being agile, it may help you prevent a fall.
WE ARE CLOSED MONDAY, 5/26 FOR MEMORIAL DAY
WORKOUTS FOR THE WEEK:
MONDAY
Happy Memorial Day!
WEDNESDAY
What a beautiful and simple programming day – our all time favorite (outside of burpees!)
Our squat is a barbell front squat super-setting with high rep plate step “overs”
Our press is a barbell strict press super-setting with an accessory movement for your lats.
And our high is a barbell deadlift in higher reps.
FRIDAY
We’ll start with our last week of the DB RDL, and then in heats, tackle Grace – 30x C&J for time. Yes, for time. Yes, scored. Lean into this. One of our last hard, intense efforts before we start our summer programming.
