WORKOUTS FOR THE WEEK:

MONDAY

Our four rounds will have us working on

  • lat pull downs
  • “rope a dope”
  • DB walking lunges

Then, we’ll spend about 20 minutes working on a complex of clean pulls and power cleans. Our biggest fault in the clean is an early arm pull – and the clean pull helps reinforce the straight or long arm pull.

WEDNESDAY

Our squat will be a heavy DB FS – we’ll help loading the DB.

Our press will be a BB push press, supersetting with a banded retraction.

And our hinge will be a heavy BB DL supersetting with a light good morning. 

FRIDAY

After a lot of air squats (Murph prep), we’ll work on a new technique to help us perfect the deadlift form. 

Then, in teams of 2, relay a DT-style workout—a barbell complex. The partnering will be for the work-to-rest ratio and sharing bars, not load.
